My Top 5 Five Favorite Yokai Characters

5 Favorite Yokai Base Anime?

Yokai are supernatural creatures and they have supernatural powers. Yokai animes and manga are very popular and they have interesting storylines. There are a lot of good yokai base anime and I really love them so much. The below are my favorite 5 Yokai Ayakashi Anime.

Nurarihyon no mago (Highly Recommanded)
Nura Rikuo is the grandchild of Nura Rihyun who has ¼ blood of Yokai and ¾ blood of human. He is high school student staying in a big house full of yokai. He is designated to be the next leader of Nura Clan but he doesn't wanna lead as his human side is stronger and he wanna live as normal human. He can transform into yokai only in the night and he will change back to human as soon as the sun goes up. This action yokai anime is very fascinating and Nura Rikuo is amazing no matter what form he's in.

Nurarihyon no mago: Sennen Makyou is the continuation. This anime is more about the past and how Nura Rikuo is leading the clan against all the odds. I'll give both of the anime 5 stars as I love the storyline, characters and anime art are so well done

Kaimisama hajimemashita
Nanami is the high school girl who is currently homeless due to her father who is running away from debt collector. One day, as she met a guy who is afraid of dog, Mikage. As she helped him, he offered her to stay at his place and ask her to tell Tomoe that she was sent by Mikage. Later Nanami found out that Mikage is actually a shrine god and Tomoe is a dangerous fox familiar. This anime is finished airing first season which consist of 13 episodes. It's mainly a romance comedy anime. I hope they make second season soon. I would recommend not only an anime but also a manga and it's still ongoing.

Inuyasha
Inuyasha is a half breed dog demon who was seal to a tree 50 years ago by the priestess called KiKyo in the Sengoku period. After sealing Inuyasha, Kikyo died and ask her sister Kaede to bury her together with the sacred jewel which is dangerous and powerful. In the modern days, on the 15th birthday, Kagome falls into a well which is located near her family shrine and transported back to Sengoku Period. Kagome met Inuyasha who was sealed to the tree and released him. First Inuyasha thought that she is Kikyo and later he found out that Kikyo died right after sealing him to a tree and Kagome is the incarnation of Kikyo. Now Kagome has to protect sacred jewel together with delinquent and ruthless Inuyasha. This anime released on 2000 to 2004. Inuyasha: The Final act is a continuation and it was aired on 2009 to 2010. The time gap between the first season and the last is too big that most people gave up but it's good for those who are going to start watching Inuyahsa now.

Shounen Onmyouji
Abe no Masahiro is the grandson of the greatest onmyouji Abe no Seimei. His grandfather sealed his sixth sense (the ability to sense monsters) in order to protect him. He doesn't know about it until he meets Mokkun who has a temporary form of mononoke.  While fighting his first monster he breaks the seal and his quest to become the next greatest onmyouji begins. It was aired on 2006 and consist of 26 episodes. Highly recommended for those who likes Shounen.

Ao no Exorcist
Rin Okumura was raised by a famous exorcist named Father Fujimoto with his twin brother Yukio. After an argument between the two, Rin Discovers he is the son of Satan and he's half demon who wield demon power. After the death of his foster father, Rin wanna defeat Satan who killed his foster father. So Rin decides to fight his fate by joining the True Cross Academy to become and exorcist and defeat demons. Later he found out that his twin brother Yukio is one of the exorcist who taught his class.
