Spring 2016 Lineup...

What a way to start the Spring season with chicken pox… Absolutely wonderful! Let’s be optimistic and look at the bright side. I get to have a stronger reason to stay at home now. So I can legitimately laze around at home just like how one would during summer break in Japan. Another good thing is that, I recently “unofficially” graduated from school as the Design Show ended on 2nd April. Seeing various people from the public watch and be entertained by your film as well as others brings about a sense of accomplishment that spread within you. But after having repeatedly watching your own film for numerous times, you’ll get quite bored of it but still happy to see it.

Some series had already started quite a few days back, which was quite unexpected as usually it’ll be a few more days into the season when the various series started rolling out.

Now, I present to you my watch list for Spring 2016’s anime.

There were some thoughts of watching the Gundam series that’s airing as wel but I fear that it might just be the Unicorn’s 7 episodes. There were already some that I’ve watched and others that have begun their second episodes.

What I’m looking forward to this season are Boku no Hero Academia, Bungou Stray Dogs, Sakamoto desu ga, Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, Kotetsujou no Kabaneri, Magi: Sinbad no Bouken, Kiznaiver, flying witch and Kuma Miko. After seeing their respective first episodes, I find them to be really interesting. There are some that seem to be not my cup of tea as of the first episode like Joker Game and Seisen Cerberus. Sousei no Onmyouji may take a while for me but it’s catching on.

I’ve also recently watched the Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Cadenza Movie. I expected some mental models to appear earlier and the ending that I vision it for was different. And teasing at the end is just cruel. At least let us see her again.

Fast forward a few more days, I

find myself caught up with The Flash series, which caught my interest as a friend talked to me about it. I’m currently patiently waiting for the next episode. Playing around with time and super powers is just right up my alley. I’m kind of interested to pick up 12 Monkeys but I’ll probably save it for another day.

One other thing that I’ve picked up is the new Kamen Rider Amazons.

Being a fan of Tokusatsu shows, I find myself really drawn to it even though it’s just the first episode. The show brings back the Showa Rider Kamen Rider Amazon and slap it into a darker version of a Kamen Rider Series, probably void of the friendship power theme it has going on in most Tokusatsu series so as to appeal to the children or the kids in our hearts. So you could say it might be a deconstruction and I say might very loosely here, as it is quite a stretch as it’s just the first episode. But I do like the feel and dirtiness it gives off.

So that was around a week of me confined to an area of the house to pass the time and distract from the pain and itchiness of this ridiculously annoying illness. My medication has finished as per instructed by the doctor so I hope it’s going away now.
