Sayonara natsu, konnichiwa aki!

The countdown timer has started. What countdown timer? The timer to the beginning of fall anime season, of course! In fact, some anime have already begun showing! School's been awfully busy but I've already finished watching most of summer anime's available finale episodes! The ending of an anime season is always bittersweet. It is a little disappointing when a series I've been looking forward to ends. However, instead of feeling sad about that, let's celebrate the beginning of fall anime! Without further ado, here are my top anime picks for fall!

Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo

What happens if humans have powers, except you? Even if you are a princess, it seems one is not immune to being ostracized... Princess of the Misurugi Empire, Angelize, is a Norma. Normas are irregular existence that cannot use Mana, and are treated as heretics and as "things" rather than people. She isolates herself on a remote island and meets a group of Norma girls who know nothing but battle. They spend their days riding humanoid robot weapons called "Paramails" hunting giant dragons that have come from another dimension to invade. I'm pretty interested in this one since it's a mix of mecha (robots) and fantasy (dragons)! Definitely looking forward to it!

Denki-Gai no Honya-san

This is a "youthful bookstore comedy" where the protagonist works at a (what else) bookstore! I'd  definitely like to see the shenanigans the customers of the bookstores get up to ^^

Donten ni Warau

Set in a historical era, the three boys of the Kumo family are tasked to transport criminals. It seems that is not all they are doing..? I don't think I have watched any historical era-set anime since Hakuouki, which, by the way, I didn't finish. Donten ni Warau is apparently based on a shoujo manga! I'm curious about what the boys are doing other than transporting criminals so I'll put it on this list!

Kiseijuu

Hungering for human flesh, alien parasites descend upon earth and take over the bodies of human hosts. Sounds creepy already, and I love it! There are so many end-of-the-world-monsters anime out there, yet there are always new plots and plot twists. Little wonder I am hooked on such anime~

Log Horizon 2

Fall anime seems to be action-packed! Log Horizon returns with a second season this October. After their city has been restored to order, Shiroe and friends have to decide if they should leave the safety of their city and explore the rest of the Elder Tale universe. I found season 1 enjoyable enough, so I'm including this in my fall anime list!

Mushishi Zoku Shou 2

Mushi are ethereal creatures with supernatural powers, the supposed most primitive living thing. Ginko, the main character of the series, travels from place to place to aid people suffering from problems caused by Mushi. I started reading the Mushishi manga after discovering the live-action film. It immediately caught my attention, though I can't seem to say exactly why I like it. I've never watched the anime though, and this will be a good chance for me to!

Orenchi no Furo Jijou

One day, a devastatingly handsome merman named Wakasa moves into the bathtub in high school boy Tatsumi's home. This simple sentence alone drove me to search for the four-panel comic it is based on! I find it pretty amusing and cute ^_^ By the way, each episode is only a few minutes long!

Psycho-Pass 2

This is a series that I don't think needs much introduction, after all, summer anime even included a remake of it! Psycho-Pass 2 is set one and a half years after the events of the first season. I'm a little sad though, I was looking at Japanese magazines and realised they didn't include Kougami anywhere... He's my favourite character but he won't appear in season 2... Sigh.

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road

This is the anime I've been waiting all summer for! I'm super excited to continue watching Yowapeda again as it ended at a very thrilling note! I can't wait to see Naruko again ^_^

In addition to the second season of the anime, Yowamushi Pedal's interhigh is getting compiled with extra scenes in a special called Yowamushi Pedal: Re:RIDE! In fact, it is not the only one this is happening to; Shingeki no Kyojin is getting a remaster and recompilation of episodes 1 to 13 called Shingeki no Kyojin Zenpen: Guren no Yumiya. There is also a prequel called Shingeki no Kyojin Gaiden: Kuinaki Sentaku planned, which aims to explore more of Levi's and Erwin's past!

Bonjour Koiaji Pattiserie

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
I'm also looking forward to Bonjour Koiaji Patisserie, mostly because of the anime food... The art is also very pretty! Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, which ended not too long ago, is also getting specials! GSNK is one of the anime series I didn't think much of, but ended up falling in love with when it aired, so I'm very happy to have more to watch and enjoy!

Last but not least, we have the Kuroshitsuji: Book of Murder OVA! I'm definitely going to catch this as soon as it is available as the Book of Murder arc is one of my favourites! While Kuroshitsuji is full of mysteries, this is one of a smaller and more intimate scale that reminds me a little of some of Sherlock Holme's cases with its 'locked-door murder' scenario!

It seems like this season will be chock full of action-packed anime for me, what about you?
