Meoowwww...
Hi Folks! It has been a while since I last posted due to commitments in my full-time job. Now I have returned to write exciting stuff for Milkcananime! During these past few months, I had played countless mobile games on my iPhone 6+ and shared some game-play images on my Instagram account.

Recently, I am into cats and many furry creatures living inside your mobile phone. If you need to describe a cat, what word would you use? I would say mischievous and I think it perfectly describes this game called KleptoCats.

There are many players who are familiar with Neko Atsume but this is different. The objective of this game is very simple - Ask your cat to explore. Gradually, you begin to fill the empty room with all treasures that your cat collects for you.  At the moment, there are four rooms available. However, you need gems (game currency) to unlock them.

Difficulty Level: Easy
Fun Factor:  None
Pros: Cute graphic, clear interface, easy to play
Cons: Repeated game action toward one single objective, no other options to play the game

This game is suitable for those who like to feel a sense of achievement.

What do you call a fur shedding cat? It’s Nekonoke! This is an addictive casual mobile game where you cannot stop petting the cat. Tap the cat to have more furballs and your task is to collect them to unlock more cats! The only currency in Nekonoke is the furballs.  You may want to level up the item in the game to assist you in generating more furballs.

The cat gives you more furballs when you tap it faster. My favorite moment of this game is when it is in fever mode. There is no cooling down period for the furballs generation and I can get as many furballs as possible within the mode time. Different cats produce different variety of furballs and this makes me excited as a cat lover.

Difficulty Level: Easy
Fun Factor:  Addictive
Pros:  Adorable cats
Cons: My fingers keep petting the cat and it distracts me from doing other things

The overall game designs are pleasing to the eyes and it has a subtle warm feeling to it. NekoNoke remains one of my favorite cat games.

I hope the above cat games interest you. I shall be writing about 2 more cat games soon.

Figure Review: Kousaka Honoka Snow Halation Version (SEGA)

Friday, September 30, 2016 / No Comments
Do you recognise this outfit......? This character?

Yes, it's Snow Halation! And I bring to you Honoka in her outfit for Snow Halation! Similar to her START;DASH version, this Honoka is also of a much larger scale than the others I have reviewed so far.

Base
Her base is only a white circle, but the simplicity of this matches Snow Halation very well. The added snowflakes patterns printed onto the base helps to bring this point out on the figure as well. Small details really do make a difference!

Posing and Assembly

Assembly is just placing the figure onto the base and she fits snugly. But more importantly...

A lively pose that Honoka makes mid-song! It also looks like she's saying hi to all of her fans. This is a figure which has a pose that fits into many different types of situations. But that's not where her charms lie.

Sculpting and Painting
Her outfit! It's all wooly and comfy, and there are many details! First, the wool lining isn't very well-made as it doesn't appear very fluffy, but it still gets the point very well across. The subtle pinks lines and gold accents help to bring the figure to life.

Brown in a neutral color, so it holds the different aspects of the pastels together well. I also like how the brown belt's buckle is carefully sculpted and painted gold.

The ruffles, which are an idol's lifeline, are well made, with each fold distinguished well from the next. More importantly, I love how the ruffles actually go all the way up to the neckline, even under her tie.

The slight ruffling of her skirt is also great, because it easily displays how loose and lightweight the material actually is!
I would also like to point out the furball on the back of her glove. It isn't very well-sculpted and actually looks heavy but it adds a nice detail to otherwise pure white and normal gloves.

The sleeves have extra detailing, and there is actually some patterns sculpted into it. If I was upset about the glove furball thing I mentioned above, I am impressed with this new detail. I have never expected much from prize figures as I typically collect scale figures and prizes are of lower quality, but I must say that this detail isn't that common among prize figures.
Her hair accessories has white, pink and blue, which easily ties back to the figure. The lack of brown on her hair accessory puts a distinction between her orange (less bright on this figure) hair color, and leaves the brown to accent her outfit only. I like the three feathers inserted, which you can see even from the other side of her, and it adds more details than the usual flower hair clips. The feathers are all nicely sculpted too, but with minimal shading.
Still, definitely not the best hair sculpt. I wish the ends were a little less chunky and there could be more movement to her hair. It seems like the sculptors got tired after doing that detailed outfit. It's a little of a waste.
Last point, the boots. The fur is the same as what I mentioned earlier, not very convincing. The earth brown at the heels and the slight touches of yellow help to add another color dimension to the figure. It also gives the feel of being pure from the front (light yellow), but like the figure, it packs a punch behind with all the detailing and well thought up color schemes.

I like the creases under the buckle for the raised leg. It makes it look like the buckle is actually pulling some material, adding to the realism of the figure.

Enjoyment
This is definitely not the best prize figure Honoka has, and definitely not the best figure of her out on the market. Though, I feel that she does provide enough height and outfit details to make up for that. Her sculpt also gives a more mature feel to the figure instead of the usual cutesy and energetic Honoka.

If you like Honoka and Snow Halation, this figure might just be for you!

Figure Review: Kousaka Honoka START;DASH (SEGA)

This version of Honoka is definitely not one of my favorites, but the song that features this version is. START;DASH is an upbeat song that I still listen to sometime, even after so long! Sadly, I don't really fancy that outfit of the song.

Base
The base is a little more unique than a circle, but some pattern is added and lifted. Pink that matches Honoka's outfit color was also used to make the name of the series. This base keeps Honoka well and stable and the increase in propping due to the base also makes her taller, and she is already quite large for a prize figure!

Posing and Assembly

A 360 of Honoka!

I'm very sure that she was in this pose somewhere in the song, but I can't really remember where she was in that pose, bit I definitely recall seeing her in it before. Perhaps it is time to watch the PV of it again?

One leg raised in the air is an extremely idol pose, but I'm afraid it might cause some stability issues in the long run. As for now, she's still safe and standing upright,

Assembly is still the same as usual, and just placing the figure itself onto the base and aligning the pegs.

Sculpting and Painting
The outfit is well made and kept very close to the original. The zip is fully sculpted out and the buttons around are made in a straight alignment and are all of similar size. Unfortunately, there is no shading on either the zip of the buttons.

The skirt  and ruffles at the neck area are well made and flared out. However, there is minimal shading as well. The white underskirt isn't very detailed but it matches the folds on he upper pink layer.

The huge bow on her chest is very attention-grabbing and adds a cute value to this figure.
Now about her boots, I'm glad that there is a crease sculpted in. The lack of shading here makes her shoes look warm and suitable for winter instead, which doesn't really match how her sleeveless outfit feels. Whether this gap is good or not, I can't decide yet.

I like the idea that the shoes have straps and buttons, which sets it apart from the more simplistic outfit as her boots now has slight details. The darker pink and yellow also helps tie back to her outfit, especially with the yellow button.
And last but not the least, Honoka's face! The sculpt of her hair and shape of her face is, like I have pointed out, not the best one but I love the shade of her eyes. It makes her look really lively!

Enjoyment
I wouldn't recommend this figure to anyone except those who want a memento of the song, or if you want a large figure. She is very tall. over 20cm, and looms over the rest of my more regular sized prize figures.

Figure Review: Nishikino Maki Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki (SEGA)

For the review today, I have the best girl of the majority with me, Maki! Maki has been winning numerous polls since Love Live started and she's definitely one of the most popular, if not the most.

Base
Similar to Eli's base, she comes with a matching white hexagonal base with the words printed in red instead since that fits her image color, The compact base really saves a lot of space and with the shape, you can set her right beside Eli and have them all looking like they are on stage!

Posing and Assembly

Maki's pose is elegant and ladylike, and it feels like she is hiding a little of her embarrassment and happiness. It suits her and brings out her personality, and I think this sculpt easily recreates this particular illustration of her in 3D.

Assembly is just putting the main figure onto the white base, nothing more and nothing less!

Sculpting and Painting
Maki's outfit is done very nicely. Her hat is point-on and the ribbon to its side has a sense of motion and that is a very important feature for idol figure. And of course, the motion doesn't only end there, Her skirt also has that feel with all the ruffles riffling out.

I particularly like the frills around her collar and how the black ribbon there sits on it. Not to mention, the way her abdomen is showed through the attire, with the fabric lifted just because of how her thighs are placed.

The first thing that struck my mind is: This skirt is too short...

Setting that aside, I like the clean paint of the two black lines doing downward on her outfit towards the skirt. It's always a nice thing to find clean details on prize figures!
I really like the thigh sculpt on this line of figures! They are all so slim and shapely~
The sculpt of Maki's hair is done well and the way it flares out at the end brings out her unique hairstyle. The red color of her hair is the correct shade as well.

The vibrant reds on the other parts of her outfit brings her to life, and they are all done well with no paint spills at all on my copy! The cuffs at her wrist are slightly damaged though. Still, not a big issue as you can't see that from the front of the figure.

Enjoyment
I really do enjoy this series of prize figures and if you haven't collected enough figures of your best girl, I recommend checking out this line, no matter who is it that you like!
