Autumn Anime Playlist

Hi guys. Umm… So… How’s everybody doing? Is the weather fine where you are? Where I’m at, the weather has been rainy since it’s that time of the year again. So those living around the area prepare an umbrella and try not to fall sick.

Get your umbrellas at the ready...

The fall season is nearing its end, though the anime produce are still mid way through. By now you guys would have picked your anime(s)-of-fall and become familiarise with it. The openings and endings are probably etched into your brain (maybe your heart for the passionate ones) and would already picked your favourites. Well if you haven’t, then I can offer you my chosen playlist, if you couldn’t tell from the title. I had picked out 10 of what I enjoy listening throughout the season as well as a few (again an understatement) mentions.

Before we hit the music, let’s talk for a while.

So how do you guys think of autumn’s lineup? Any that had blown your minds or you find very engaging and enjoyable? What are you favorites and what do you not like? How many are you watching this season? Who has listen to the new ClariS album? Who’s impatiently waiting for ORAS? Fighting Climax anyone? What do you guys think of the MarvelxSNK announcement? How about Naruto ending? What do you think of the game Sword Art Online: The Lost Song’s preview? Anyone fully prepared for AFA? Are you looking forward to next season’s list?

Well, nice talking to you. Let’s chat again some other time. It’s ShowTime!

Following the alphabetical order, first up would be a double pick. From the summer leftovers, we have Akame ga Kill. I can’t wait for the next chapter of the manga! Anyway, the opening and ending for it is so amazing. “Liar Mask” by Rika Mayama is so much fun to listen to. The song has three different rhythms to it, just like a story. A beginning, middle and end. I can’t stop myself from enjoying it too much. The opening sequence itself tells the story, making me reminisce on the various deaths that happened in the story. Hints can also be found in the opening sequence, which I’ll leave you guys to figure out.

Then once the episode ends, here comes a great ending piece, “Tuskiakari” by Sora Amamiya. It not only makes for a good lullaby to listen to at night, it can also a serve as an emo song to tune in when riding the bus in a rainy day.  The song sort of reminds me of a Chinese song that I listened to before. The piano accompanying just stimulates the Goosebumps all over my body. It’s just pleasantly wonderful to listen to. Ahh… my eyes are tearing up.

The two sisters...

The next one would be from the anime Cross Ange: Tenshi toRyu no Rondo. I gotta say, the anime is quite nice especially the CG animations, just the story is a bit… meh… Anyway, the chosen song is "Kindan no Resistance" by Nana Mizuki, the opening theme. The song is absolutely fun to listen to with its upbeat tempo. I remember Nana Mizuki singing “Synchrogazer” for Senki Zesshou Symphogear. Oh, memories… That anime was damn packed with songs. Oh, I wonder if I was the only one but did anybody else notice something strange in the opening sequence for Cross Ange? You might be surprised of what you will find. If I am not wrong, its in episode 2 or 3? I remember seeing it a few times.

This seems familiar, but where?

Oh! There it is...

Following that is my favorite song of the season. From Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, "Kirameki" by wacci.

The song is wonderfully relaxing to hear. It’s so calming and it just creates an environment on its own. And the use of the acoustic guitar is remarkable. Better still the anime has piano playing involve. AND VIOLINS! A symphony of serenity.

Next is something that I didn’t expect to get an anime for but I won’t complain, as it looks nice. Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is the next song I will pick from. “ideal white” by Mashiro Ayano is the opening theme that is use. The song truly matches with the opening sequence. The song is slightly relaxing even though it is upbeat and I can’t help myself from moving body to it.

The quality looks so nice...

Now I just can’t wait for the actual remake of Fate Stay Night.

Next is a summer leftover as well. Entering its third arc by now, Sword Art Online II or Gun Gale Online has delivered another wonderful piece that has been added to my playlist. The opening theme for the Caliber and Mother’s Rosario arc, “Courage” is sung by Haruka Tomatsu, who also sang “Yume Sekai” for SAO first arc. Just by listening to it, I can’t help but reminisce about the incidents that happened in SAO, as though I was there, experiencing it. The song is pleasant to listen to. It creates a somewhat lonely mood with its beginning as well as the part after the chorus, which is accompanied by the piano. Then it picks up tempo when it is nearing the chorus creating a climax. I just can’t wait for the full song.

Exactly the same reaction I had...

Magic Kaito 1412 follows after that with “Kimi no Matsu Sekai” by LAGOON. The song is wonderfully addictive to listen to due to its upbeat tempo. The drums in the song are captivating to hear that I find myself drumming to it. Considering this is the first single that the all girl band has, I say the future is really bright for them. Ah! Mabushi! Let me play that again!

His costume looks damn cool...

Next is a collaboration by two bands that are just great to hear. FLOW and GRANRODEO with their “7-seven” for Nanatsu no Taizai. The song is so enjoyable! My head can’t stop rocking to it. I’m even playing the air guitar in response. It is so appealing. NORI NORI YO!

PEW~

The long awaited season 2 of Psycho Pass has finally arrived. Well, it already began like a few weeks ago. The opening theme for it, “Enigmatic Feeling” is sung by Ling Tosite Sigure. The voice and name might be familiar as Tokyo Ghoul opening is also sung by the same person. Okay, the song is very enjoyable, nice rhythm, repeating parts of the song works well in their favour and it matches with the anime perfectly. Ultimately, its so much fun. It’s hard not to move along with the song. My fingers can’t disagree to that as they are already thumping to it. It’s even playing the rhythm as I’m typing.

And finally, my last choice of the season. Trinity Seven with its opening theme, “Seven Doors” by ZAQ.

Here comes the chorus!

Come on, this song is fabulous. Don’t deny it. Embrace it. Rock out to it. When the beat drops, my head followed suit and regrettably, I bang my head on the table. I was too into it. But it was still so much fun.

Anime music is the best!

So that was it. My top ten songs for Autumn. Well now on with the “few” mentions that I talked about. Starting with…
