Nana's Fall Outlook

Falling temperatures, thicker jackets, and girls basking in the last few days they can go out bare-legged. Such is Japan during October and November during fall, my favourite season. Fall is also my favourite anime season as darker themes creep in. So today, although it's reaaaally belated, I'm going to share with you the anime I've already begun watching!

One-Punch Man

Now, I've been looking forward to OPM's anime ever since the announcement came out earlier this year! I've been following the manga for a really long time, loving art and subsequently the wonderful incorporation of its sfx (sound effects) into it. Saitama cracks me up and I absolutely adore Genos. Honestly, I would really enjoy it in stop-motion style (like manga panels put together), complete with the visual sfx, but hey, OPM got an anime, and that's already more than what I can ask for. A must-watch (and read)!

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru

Also known as A Corpse is Buried Under Sakurako's Feet, it is easy to see why I was easily drawn to this morbid-sounding anime. Shoutarou Tatewaki, a high schooler, meets Sakurako Kujou, a bone-loving lady. Reminding me strongly of the American crime drama Bones (which I love), Sakurako is adept at analysing bones and together the two of them solve cases!

Lupin III

Gentlemen spies are all in the rage right now (from James Bond to The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), but what about gentlemen thieves? Personally, I prefer the fun-loving Lupin. After all, bad boys have more fun!

Subette ga F ni Naru

Another mystery themed anime, Subette ga F ni Naru is based on a novel, which has been adapted into a manga, visual novel and even live action drama! Souhei Saikawa, a member of the Saikawa Research Lab, meets Moe Nishinosono, who is the daughter of his mentor. They discover a corpse and together, solve a serial murder case.

City Hunter: Ryou no Propose

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw City Hunter on the list! Judging by the title I assume it will focus on Ryou and Kaori..?

Frankly, this fall season's anime is pretty good! Other than the ones listed here, I'll probably watch most of the other series during my spare time! Well, happy watching!
