Spring Anime List ’15

Spring is here! YES! This season probably has the best lineup I’ve seen so far. I really hope the soundtracks are nice.

As of this post I have not seen any of the episodes of any series but I’ve been a bit spoiled of what to expect since I have been around the web. I usually relate to AniChart for the days they will be aired (plus around 8 to 12 hours more) so that I can watch it right away. So after this is up, I’m watching the ones that came out straight away. And as usual with every other season I’ve watch, I have quite a number on my list. Let's begin.

First up is Arslan Senki. I don’t know what to expect from this series at all. I saw its CM after the last episode of Nanatsu no Taizai and decide to give it a watch. The story is about Arslan, who lost everything including his kingdom to a war. It follows him embarking on a journey facing various obstacles and trials in order for him to be a worthy ruler and reclaim his kingdom. The synopsis of the story sounds interesting so I like to give it a shot.

Second is Denpa Kyoushi. I am seriously hype for this as I couldn’t wait when it was scheduled to be release ever since I read the announcement in the manga.

Yes! Ota-kyoushi for the win! If you guys haven’t read the manga, you really are missing out on it. But then it’ll spoil your experience of the anime so I really don’t what to tell you guys. To read or not to read? Anyways the story is about Junichiro, a NEET, who spends his time indulging in his otaku lifestyle and managing his blog. Unable to bear watching her brother spend his life away, Suzune gets him (more like blackmail him) to teach at her school, Ichou Academy. I guess you could say the story is a bit similar to Great Teacher Onizuka (which is a really good anime) but less on the ecchi side.

Third is Diamond no Ace Season 2. I can’t really say much about this as its just continuing Eijun’s journey. I really want to know what’s going to happen when they ended of the first season with sort of a cliffhanger. I want to know what happens!

Next is Digimon Adventure tri.

The childhood feels are coming back...
Come on… It’s the continuation of the first digimon series. What’s not to be excited about? They’re all in high school. I really want to know if they change and how they change and what adventure awaits them. Right in the childhood…

The next one has a long title. Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru ka? I am still reading the manga (awaiting next chapter…) and sort of have some idea about it. I like the story in the manga and hope they follow it. It’s sort of like a SAO (a bit). You get to see a character grow to being OP where he sometimes faces desperate situations, which will then remind you that he is not so OP. There’s also gods mix inside so it has an interesting concept.

Following that is Etotama.

I found this one on a website call… umm… ah… call… Sankakucomplex… yeah… don't judge… The PV looks nice. The story follows Nya-tan, who is a cat from the Chinese astrology who wants to be a part of the Chinese Zodiac. Isn't that an interesting story to follow? It’s like a student who wants to be a part of the popular people in school.

Next is… Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Season 2! YAY! More graphics of high quality! Make it rain Ufotable!

This shot from the previous season was just amazing...

Tsubamegaeshi
The story is the continuation of the first season last year where we follow Shirou who tries to stop the Holy Grail War without Saber being with him (SPOILER!) We get to see Shirou become badass with good graphics (probably an understatement).

Grisaia no Rakuen is the next one and I do not know what to expect from this. Maybe a vague one? I watch Grisaia no Kajistu and enjoy it quite a bit but I heard this is the prologue of the story about the five girls. So it will shed some backstory on them? I have not played the game. More like I can’t play due to various issues.

Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation… I have seen its ONA and it look okay… I know its from a game in Japan for the arcade, which looks amazingly fun. It has a really interesting concept though. Fighting yourself from an alternate world… And this Degradation sounds similar to the Zetsuen no Tempest with its people turning to metal (SPOILER).

Here’s my moe intake for Spring. Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic. A continuation of their lives and more Karen! And I don’t know what else to say…

Yay! Kongo- I mean Karen...

Next is Hibike! Euphonium. I saw the cover and it looked interesting. I read the synopsis and I hesitated. I’ll stay to see whether is it nice.

High School DxD BorN is next on my list. Third season for this series. Hoping that it follows the light novel with Issei going berserk. Please! I just want to see that! (Sure… yeah... just that…)

The cover for Houkago no Pleiades looks nice and the synopsis caught my interest but there isn’t much to go on. I’ll stay though because why not?

Next is Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyou. It has an interesting synopsis and sort of reminds me of D-Frag. It also looks a though there are characters from different shows are here as well.

Following that is Nagato Yuki-chan no Shousitsu.

I was patiently waiting for this to air as the manga really is interesting. If you guys like Haruhi Suzumiya, then you’ll probably like this. It’s about the life Nagato Yuki in the Disappearance arc of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya where she tries to recruit people to join the Literature Club. Be warned though. It’s not your usual, cool Nagato Yuki.

There’s also Nisekoi:, which is the second season of Nisekoi if you guys couldn't guess. It won’t be as far ahead as the manga but it adds another character to the list of Ichijou Raku’s harem. Best girl competition begins…

Next is Owari no Seraph. I have read the manga and sort of know what’s happening. It looks good so I am giving it a try.

Following it is Plastic Memories. The synopsis of the story is actually quite interesting. Reminds me of Eve no Jikan and Kowarekake no Orgel. And because they left the synopsis hanging, it piques your interest even more.

Punch Line. The synopsis was just one sentence. About a boy, Iritatsu Yuuta, whose spirit has been detached from his body. Not really much to go with here but the PV was interesting especially the song that was played. Pan Pan Chira Pan Pan Chira. There’s also a talking cat. Let’s Sailor Moon this show up. (There’s nothing sailor moon-esque other than the talking part of the cat just like in numerous other shows with talking cats. So don’t expect moon prism power. You have been warned)

Re-Kan! Is next. Natsume Yuujinchou much? Or Inari, Konkon Koi Iroha? Well, my expectation for this is quite high. The same with my expectations of it flopping as well. So negative!

YES!!! SHOKUGEKI NO SOMA!!! And I rest my case…

The main dish has arrived!
What?

Next is Show By Rock!!. I picked this out because it looks Kawaii~ Come on we have a nekomimi character as the main. (I am not watching Tokyo Mew Mew…) She reminds me of some other character I know but I can’t remember who…

The second season of Sidonia no Kishi follows after. Despite how the characters look like with the CGI, it has a nice story. Hey, it looks better than Aku no Hana (shots fired…) I wonder why I actually watched it… Was I high or extremely depressed over something?

Triage X is next on my list. Yay! Another ecchi anime! More plots! Nah… I was interested in it because it has the same artist as High School of the Dead/HOTD and also because I read the manga. So I have a vague idea about the story. They should really make the second season of HOTD. Come on! The manga is also dead. What is with the long hiatus?! I need more Saeko! And zombies… yeah zombies… but mainly Saeko.

This is also another popular one. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku. More Hachiman! And also a different character design for him as well.

D-don't look at me with those eyes!
But yay! It’s like seeing myself minus the girls and the location and the imouto and the club and the bravery (Supercell!) at certain parts… Damn… Now this is depressing… I feel more like WataMote now… Brilliant…

And finally we have Yamada-kun to Nananin no Majo. I was really excited when I found out it’s getting an anime adaptation but now I totally forget why I was excited for it. I quite like the manga though. The live-action drama wasn’t enjoyable to be honest. Still watching the anime though. Gotta find back what I was excited for…

Well that was my list. I might pick up some along the way and maybe drop some along the way but let’s try not to do that. I don't want to drop something like what I did with Ushinawareta something-something. And I hope I don’t regret watching it like Glasslip. That was a disappointment. I remember that I still have to watch a few more old ones that I’ve set aside. What was it? It was… Kino no Tabi, Natsuyuki Rendevous and Hand Maid May. But first I need to watch the first episode of Shokugeki no Soma. I hope that expectations are met.

Mata ne~
